Benchmark Utility Contractors, Inc. has been in business since January of 1998. We specialize in the construction of water distribution, sanitary sewer and storm drainage systems along with site work that includes asphalt and concrete street and parking lot construction, land clearing, general excavation, and building pads.

We have completed over 100 major projects in the last 20 years.  Some of our most visible underground projects include the former Super Splash Adventure Water Park in Edinburg, the 38,000 LF Arroyo Water Supply / East Rio Hondo Water Supply Interconnection and Drainage Improvements at Dominguez State Jail in San Antonio. Previous site work projects include a 10,000 CY lake excavation at Monte Cristo Golf & Country Club, a 33,000 square foot building pad and a 24,000 square yard asphalt paving project for Hidalgo County Precinct #1.

Benchmark Utility Contractors, Inc. currently employs 35 people that make up four utilities crews and two paving/site work crews. Our equipment fleet includes 11 late model pick-up trucks, 4 water trucks, 3 dump trucks, 3 haul trucks with lowboys, 2 fuel/lube truck, 7 backhoes, 5 excavators, 4 wheel loaders, 2 motor graders, 2 dirt scrapers, 1 asphalt paver, 3 smooth drum rollers, 3 padfoot rollers, and 3 pneumatic rollers along with trailers and hand tools that include welders, generators, pumps, saws, drills, and etc.  Our crews are dispatched and supervised daily by Superintendents; Ernesto Chavez and Roland Vargas. Benchmark Utility Contractors, Inc. is bonded and fully insured with Worker's Compensation coverage, General Liability Insurance, and Commercial Truck & Equipment Insurance.
